A Relaxation breathing technique serves many purposes. The first is of course just to bring upon complete relaxation and reduce stress. Some people undertake relaxation techniques to meditate or concentrate. So how exactly do you relax and what sort of relaxation techniques really work? This article takes a closer look at this fascinating concept.

How to Relax

A popular relaxation technique is known as the 'well technique'. To relax using this method you just imagine that you are falling into a well without a bottom. This well drops through Earth and never ends. You can fall into a deep trance using this technique if you have a good deep concentration. You must undertake this technique in a very silent, still location without distractions.

You can also choose to pretend you are in a pool, lake or other calm water environment. Imagine yourself floating and the water is warm with the suns rays. Imagine surrounding waterfalls and bird life and you will fall into a deep trance state.

Other techniques can include imagining yourself being warmed by the sun (or simply lay in the sun), imagine yourself being massaged in a very relaxing manner or relaxing by counting slowly and believing that each number leads to an increased level of relaxation.

Breathing

The key to all methods of relaxation techniques is breathing. Concentrating on your breathing will mean the difference between success and failure when it comes to achieving complete relaxation.

Practicing a relaxation breathing technique is an important part of life and help us maintain sanity and a sense of well being. Trying out the above mentioned techniques will allow you to be at calm and peaceful whilst leaving your daily worries behind.
